PREVIEW!!!

It is a curious thing, fate.  As there once was a small backwater planet destroyed to make an intergalactic speed way, shame really.  But this isn't the story of that planet, or anyone who might have been involved with that planet.  Because honestly, who would be silly enough to read a story about humans?  Well, that isn't entirely true, the part about the story being about a backwater planet not the part about it being silly to want to read about humans.  You see, there was a world very similar to that backwater planet, but stashed in another universe.  The universes were very similar, particularly in having the same very extraordinary book.  The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was the bestselling book in the entire galaxy.  Not only did it contain all the required information that one would need, such as getting by on 30 Drakturian Mebits a day, but it also had information on pretty much everything in the know galaxy, and possibly the known universe.  Though since no one can possibly know the whole universe this claim that some ponies have made is rather fantabulous.  But back to the backwater planet, one that had never heard of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.  Arguably knowing about the book likely wouldn't have helped it much, but I digress.  The planet was populated by quadrupedal sentient creatures descended from horses, more commonly known as Ponies.  These ponies were for the most part, content with their lives.  They did think that they could be better and passed around little coins made out of yellow metal to try and improve things.  Problem was no one had invented digital watches yet.  Then one day a young winged unicorn thought of how she could improve the word and possibly invent the digital watch.  Unfortunately she was vaporised before she told anyone and these thoughts were lost forever.  But this isn't her story.
All right, I feel like I'm cheating slightly with uploading a preview of my current major project but aw heck I'll do it anyway. In case you aren't in the know (And I don't expect most of you to be 'in the know' as most of the people I've been talking to about this are my contacts on MSN and Skype) PGttG stands for Pony's Guide to the Galaxy, and in case the short preview didn't tip you off I'm making this a Hitchhiker's crossover with Friendship is Magic. This is going to be as big as I can make it, I'm going to try and capitulate the first book at the very least. If all goes well (And I get enough inspiration and don't peter out) I will be covering all five book, though granted it should wind up somewhat shorter than the books themselves because I'm going to have to change a lot while trying to keep mostly in check.

Getting to the point of matters, I'm looking over what I've got for the first segment so far (This includes the intro that is the Preview you see here) and while I think I'm somewhat grasping Adams' style I still think I could add more content. Trust me, right now it's rather bare-bones. I want to make this a great comedy (Or at least a mediocre or average one) like the original books were, and one thing I learned from the short time I had to write comedy is that the jokes you make on your own aren't nearly as funny as the ones you bounce off of your friends. What I'm trying to say is I want to recruit anyone from my watchers list (Or just random bronies who are looking through my work either because they just heard of me through Equestria Daily or they stumbled across me through DA.) who is either familiar with Douglas Adam's style (not entirely necessary as I have all the books to reference, and I'm usually pretty good at picking up people's styles thanks to that being a major emphasis during my lit classes in high school) or is a clever pony who can help me make jokes and add meat to my story (And possibly help me build the bypass that will help me get from point A to point B in my story). If you fulfil neither of these things but you still want to help you can by being an editor, simply read over what I write to make sure everything flows smoothly, that the puns are in the right place, and possibly throwing in your two bits on this or that.

Now for the important part, were you paying attention?
To help there are a few ways. I will list them in order of which ones would help the most to which ones would help the least. Please note that these will be the ONLY ways I'll be accepting help, if it ain't on the list then I'm not going to change my mind.

Document Sharing:
- Google Documents: These will allow me to control who reads what, and allow me to make sure that only the people who are supposed to read it can read it. Also helps that everything in in a universal format.
- Email Documents: Less eager to do this one, and only will do it as a last ditch-resort. Why? File document problems, and I have this sort of paranoia thing about sending files over email. I just don't like to do it if I can avoid it.

Contact/Feedback:
- Skype: Oh skype, how do I love you? Frankly only so much, but you're certainly the best IM program that I've got. With this I can create groups of bronies to brainstorm together. Brainstorming together is good.
- Microsoft Messenger (MSN IM): Ah MSN, I've been with you for years and years. I've loved you, I've hated you. In the end you lose out to skype for having inferior group chat skills. Still, I like MSN, but only the older version of the program. MSN 2010/11 can go to hell.
- E-mail: less preferable over Skype and MSN, but it has its own merits. An Email would allow somepony to lump all their thoughts in one go, which is nice for me. If you go the Email route please please PLEASE don't send me a new email for every thought. Try and say as much as possible in one email.
- DA: MUCH less preferable to the other options, mainly because I don't really like the PMing system here.
- Google Docs Discussion: At the very end because I've honestly never played with the discussion feature of Google Docs and I don't know how well it works. If it allows for easy access of everypony's thoughts on the document then it out-weighs ALL the other contact methods. If it is something like Twitter though, and only allows for X amount of characters or posts before deleting the old ones, not so much.

By the spoon I can prattle on can't I? Anyway I just want to make one last thing clear.

HELPING ME IS A COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY ACT!

If you want to help great, contact me and we'll be all peachy dory. If you don't want to help that's fine too, we can still be peachy dory. Just contact me in one of those ways. Also, if you're contacting me through MSN please say you're from DA. I'll likely ask you if you don't have the option to send a small PM along with the contact request, but I just like to know where my contacts come from. Same with Skype, though Skype users don't have a choice they HAVE to say they're from DA as I know Skype adds a personal message thing to the contact request.
